Café by day, tapas by night – Crate is hoping to transform Leslieville’s food scene!

Crate is a brand new addition to Queen Street East, setting up shop right beside the legendary Queen Margherita Pizza. As soon as you walk inside, you’ll instantly fall in love with Crate’s industrial-cool vibe. The white brick walls, exposed beams, and cement floor feel like a hip Toronto loft space, the perfect venue for grabbing a relaxing afternoon coffee and late night drinks and snacks.

While during the day you’ll be able to enjoy a nice espresso and some delicious baked goods, starting at 5pm the tapas menu comes out and it’s a real treat! With an incredibly diverse menu featuring plates like the Hamburger Spring Roll, Korean Short Ribs, and Veggie Pakoras, there are tons of choices to satisfy your appetite. The Smoked Gouda Risotto Balls were a huge hit! Gooey, warm, and absolutely fantastic.

If you’re a cocktail lover, Crate has you covered! Accompany your tapas choices with a refreshing, summery drink like the Blueberry Mojito – a fresh take on a warm weather classic that tastes as great as it looks.

Crate is a great new Leslieville hangout that’s perfect for any time of day! If you’re in Leslieville and looking for something new, definitely check it out.
